Argentina

Day 8.
Chile to Bariloche.

From the border with Chile we descended to the Argentina border post (about 20 miles from the Chilean post) it was still raining and it was on smaller boat from Puerto Blest across Lake Nahuel, here we had lunch and boarded a larger catamaran for an equally wet trip to Bariloche.
From there it was short bus trip to the Hotel Edelweiss

Bariloche Day 9.
Bariloche:

This morning we had a bus tour of the city and surrounding area.
The weather was still a bit wet but we took the chairlift to the mountain top in the hope of some views, but just saw mist and snow on the ground. Just as I expected it began to clear on the way down and we did see some of the scenery

Day 10.
Bariloche to Buenos Aires:

An afternoon flight to Buenos Aires, saw some of the city en route to the Amerian Park Hotel and in the evening there was traditional steak house dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 11.
Buenos Aires:

City tour this morning, The Cathedral, Evita's tomb, the harbour and the area called "La Boca". This is where you have a chance to see improptu Tango Dancing.
In the evening we went to a local Tango Hall for a meal and what proved to be a real highlight of the holiday; authentic tango dancing. An amazing evening. Tango dancing

Day 12.
Buenos Aires

The weather this morning was a bit dull and wet so our trip was delayed to the afternoon; There was a tour of a truly Argentiinian part of the city and later we took a boat trip on the Rio Plata and the Tigre Delta. The area around the Delta is of many small islands on which houses are built, so instead of roads they have canals and boats. But as the weather had been very wet the gardens and some of the houses were flooded, but a nice trip non the less.

Day 13
Buenos Aires to Brazil

A 9am depart today for the short flight to Igasu on the Argentinian side of the falls.
The flight landed in the mid afternoon and we immediately drove to the Falls. It was around 3.30pm when we arrived and we made a quick dash to the station to catch the last train to the Igasu FallsEstacion Cataratas. From here it was a short walk to the viewing points, and the views were amazing, waterfalls stretching as far as you could see, spray everywhere and lots of wildlife.
We didn't have very long, but it was wonderful to see the falls from this side.
We walked back to the park entrance and boarded the bus to cross the border into Brazil and onto the Hotel Mabu Thermas.
